Welcome to Future You Success. Friends call me, Del, ) and I am really glad to have you here on my website. My short bio examples work life and experiences that I have experienced. I am happy to share with you not only my journey that’s being passionate about Health, Wealth and Self-improvement, but also my search for finding what works in today’s world. Hopefully to (try) to find a way of bettering not only the quality of life that we all strive for and the opportunities that brings, but also sharing my discoveries on everyday challenges that we face in attempting to achieve that more rounded and prosperous lifestyle.

With a grown-up family and a varied career that took me from construction, through to working for an International Bank in the corporate sector, I wanted to share the knowledge and insights I have gained over the years, as well as engage with you with information on topics that hopefully you find interesting and are important to you, be it in the Health, Wealth, and Lifestyle sectors.

My Experience

My Career taught me that life is to experience many challenges and very often to succeed at whatever you are aiming for, sometimes you need to think outside the box. A good example of this is the recent global pandemic. The Covid-19 wave showed, and perhaps was a wake-up call for many of us, that things we held dear before, our structure, beliefs etc were literally turned on their head overnight. With lockdowns and all that ensued, people began to really look at their lives and for a lot of individuals the re-evaluation and expectation change was evident.

My own experience was probably not dissimilar to thousands of others. Working for an International corporate bank, we underwrote and financed agreements with major motor manufacturers across Europe. Now, think back. During lockdowns the retail sectors, hospitality sectors, infrastructure sectors were all hit hard. For me, the motor manufactures could not sell vehicles. Showrooms were closed, manufacturing plants were shut. So, expected Bank targets could not be fulfilled. As lockdowns were lifting, further issues manifested itself. Car Manufacturers upon restarting production found that they could not get the computer chips needed for vehicles. The chip companies and associated industries had shifted supply to… the mobile phone industry. Fair play, thinking outside the box. Another issue, when the vehicles were finally being produced was the lack of car transporter drivers to deliver the vehicles to dealer networks and showrooms. The skillset here was lost to drivers moving to food truck operations and fuel tanker driver posts. Essential roles, particularly during times of emergency. Drivers, thinking outside the box and looking for alternative positions.

The Work from Home Shift

The Pandemic also brought us the work from home shift. Pre-pandemic did you, or did you know of colleagues that worked from home? It was an exception and not a rule. As a major financial institution, we had to think out the box and adapt. Our call centre, customer services operations etc still needed to function. So, the IT departments very quickly had to find a way of initiating secure, work from home solutions, that allowed staff to work from home and fulfil customer expectation without any impact or hardship endured by the customer. No mean feat as it was always deemed impossible to achieve.

However, today, based on the mindset shift and employee expectation, work from home is a key factor for many. See the article on opportunities here and the firms hiring now, for work at home jobs. One of my challenges after the lockdowns was getting people back to the offices. Staff no longer wanted the commutes, the wasted time, the lack of freedom. I even had one employee saying that they could not come to the office anymore as… “they now have a dog, (bought in lockdown) and if I leave him, he will eat my furniture…”

The Growth in Freedom Opportunity

We were not unique here. Other major institutions and global brands not only had to adapt but also embrace the new employee expectations. This has led to an extraordinary growth in the work from home opportunities and all the freedoms that brings for thousands: More time with family and loved ones, more time to devote to health and fitness, searching for that balance, the work, income and free time equilibrium that passing years makes you evaluate. These are all areas I am keen to explore.

So, Fast Forward to today, I turned to opportunities that appeared online, and a long story short  I quickly found, at a cost of time and money, what does work, what doesn’t work and what to avoid when starting a business online in your 50’s.

Currently I have built and run an Online E-Commerce Store, with dropshipping as well as run various bloggs and articles that make commissions online. My experience, starting from scratch hopefully can help you too to get you on the way to your first Million online.

So, I hope that you enjoy the content and articles on my site, and please feel free to leave a comment as I am happy to hear from you.

All The Best
